Brief Description: An extinct Native American language of Texas. Survived until the late 19th century. One two-word phrase from a non-native speaker, 1884 AD. "Aranama was spoken at the Franciscan mission of Espíritu Santo de Zúñiga, established in 1754 on the lower Guadalupe River in southeastern Texas. Only two words of Aranama are attested, and its relationship is unknown." Victor Golla, Atlas of the World's Languages 2007 pg. 10
