Brief Description:
"Timucua was a large complex of dialects spoken in the sixteenth and seventeenth century over much of the northern half of the Florida peninsula, as well as in parts of Georgia and Alabama. An isolated and divergent dialect, Tawasa, spoken in east-central Alabama and attested only in a short vocabulary from 1708, is probably best treated as a closely related language." Victor Golla, Atlas of the World's Languages 2007 pg. 23
