Brief Description:
Vedic sanskrit is the language of the Vedas, the oldest shruti texts of Hinduism, compiled over the period of the mid 2nd to mid 1st millennium BC. It is an archaic form of Sanskrit, and the oldest attested language of the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European family.
